Take Control of Your Relationship and Save Your Romance

Do you need to take control of your relationship? Have things between you and your man started to get out of hand? Are you afraid that if something doesn't change that it many mean the end of your romance? If your man has become a bit controlling on you lately, here are some tips for how to take back control of your relationship.

First, you will need to start standing up to him. Now, if he is super controlling to the point that you think he is abusive, you need to get away from him as soon as possible. Men with issues like that often need to seek professional help to get better. But what if he isn't abusive, but just always wants to have his way?

There are different ways that people can be controlling and so there are different methods for you to start using. For instance, if he is the type of guy who likes to make all of the important decisions in your lives, you need to let him know that you want to take some of them on yourself. Maybe the only reason that he is even that way is because you eagerly gave up that responsibility. He may even be relieved that you are willing to take some of it back.

Now, does your guy try to control you by either forbidding you to see your friends or pouting when you do go out? Either way, you need to take control of your relationship by telling him that you are not going to give up your friends.

If he pouts, simply ignore it till he stops. Explain to him that in order for you to be happy and for your relationship with him to be healthy, you will have to maintain those friendships and he will have to not only put up with it, but support you.

Finally, lots of men try to control women because they have trust issues. But you can't let him punish you for what someone else did to him. Take control of your relationship by explaining to him that he can't learn to trust you by keeping you from everyone. The only way that he will be able to know that he can trust you is to let you be yourself and see that you are still loyal and faithful to him.
